Meeting August 30, 2010

Dear Parents and Leaders,

It is that time again to get ready for another Scouting Year. The Group Committee, made up of leaders and parents, are meeting on August 30th to plan the 2010/2011 Scout Year at the Parkallen Community League (11104 - 65 Ave) at 7:30 PM.

If anyone is interested in buying some Scout Popcorn I have the following:

1 - Three Way Tin - $40

2 - Caramel Tins - $20/tin

4 - Light Butter Microwave Popcorn - $15/box

2 - Butter Microwave Popcorn - $15/box

2 - Trail Mix - $25/bag

All proceeds go directly to our Scout Group and also helps save the Hawkeye habitat (less boxes in my living room)

Bottle Drive - April 10, 2010

The 24 Parkallen Scout Group is having their Spring Bottle Drive this April 10th starting at 9:00 AM. We will be meeting at the Parkallen Community Hall where we pick up your routes. We will be just collecting the bottles and any Edmonton Food Bank Donations. We will not be sorting any bottles but we will need lots of help in the bottle collection. This is our last fund raiser of the year and the weather looks like it will be great.

I would like to say a big thank you to all of our parents who helped make our all sections Family Winter Camp at Camp Evansburg a big success. We could not have done this without your help.

First Group Committee Meeting for 2010

Our next group committee meeting will be on January 21st at 7:30 PM at the Southgate food Court. We will be discussing upcoming events for all sections and planning for our all section Winter Camp in February. We hope to see you all there.

Scout Popcorn

Scout Popcorn is in. You can pick up your orders on November 25th at Scona Pool or on December 2nd at Parkallen School. For all of the families that sold Scout Popcorn we would like to thank you in making this fund raiser a big success.

November Group Committee Meeting November 19th

The 24th Parkallen Group Committee will be holding their monthly group meeting this November 19th. We will be meeting at our regular place at the Southgate Mall Food Court at 7:30 PM. I hope to see you all there.
