Group Committee Meeting Oct 21st

A big thank you to everyone who came out yesterday and helped out with our bottle drive and Edmonton Food Bank. With your help this was one of our most successful drives.

Our next Group Committee meeting will be on October 21st at the Southgate Food Court starting at 7:30 PM. All parents are encouraged to come out and join us.

Bottle Drive October 16th

Our first bottle drive of the year is on October 16, 2010 at 9:00 AM. We will be meeting at the Parkallen Community Hall (Skate Shack located behind the community hall). We will be collecting bottles and food donations for the Edmonton Food Bank. This bottle drive is important as all funds raised from this drive will go back to our scouting group to fund programs for the children. Last year our group was able to raise over 600 pounds of food for the Edmonton Food Bank and we aim to break that record.

We are encouraging everyone to come out and help. We hope to be done by 1:00 PM or sooner if we have a lot of volunteers. We will not be sorting the bottles collected and we are providing snacks and drinks for all that come out and help.

24th Parkallen at the Mall

On October 2, 2010, our scouting group will have a table at the Boonie Doon Mall to promote Scouting in Edmonton. If you had any questions about Scouting but were afraid to ask then this is a perfect time to come see us.

Group Committee Meeting September 20th

The 24 Parkallen Scout Group will be having their monthly meeting on September 20th (Monday) at the Southgate Food Court starting at 7:30 pm. This meeting allows parents and Leaders to discuss program development.

September 15th First Meeting Night

Just to remind everyone that all sections will be meeting this September 15th at the Parkallen School Gym starting at 6:30 PM.

We are still accepting registrations for our Beaver, Cub and Scouts programs through the months of September and October. If you want to see what we are all about please come and joins us for a meeting or two at no charge.

Did summer go by too fast? Do you still want to get out and have lots of fun?

Then let's bring on the Adventure!

It is that time again to get ready for another fun and exciting scout year. We will be having our Registration Night/Open House on September 8, 2010 from 6:15 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parkallen School Gym.

We would like to invite everyone to come on out and meet the leaders of our program and get a chance to see what our program is all about.

We are currently accepting registrations for our Beaver Program (Ages 5 - 7), Cub Program (Ages 8 - 10) and our Scout Program (11 - 14). All our programs are coed and we meet regularly on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 7:50 PM.
