Group Committee Meeting March 1st

Our next Group Committee will be on March 1, 2012 at the Southgate Mall Food Court starting at 7:00 PM.  This meeting is open for all parents to attend to help plan the activities for the scouting year.

There are no regular meetings this Wednesday, February 15th as our leaders are taking a much need rest from a great winter camp.  A big thank you to all the parents who help make this one of our greatest and very fun camp for all the youth who attended.  We could not have done this without you.

Regular meetings begin on February 22nd.

Winter Camp 2012

Here is hoping that we have a lot of snow and some cold temperatures as our Winter Camp is just around the corner.  We will be going back to Camp Evansburg on February 10, 11 and 12th for our annual all section camp.  As always we will be building Scout Cars, Cub Cars and Beaver Buggies for our annual 24th Parkallen Cub Car Classic, exploring the outdoors, fun and games and end with our camp fire celebration.  We hope to see you there.

January 2012 Group Committee Meeting

The next 24 Parkallen Scouting Group Committee Meeting will on January 19, 2012 at the Southgate Mall Food Court starting at 7:00 PM.  This is open to all parents, leaders and Scouts to attend.  We will be discussing upcoming camp preparations, Spring Bottle Drive and upcoming scouting events.

Thank You to the Kiwanis Club of Edmonton

The Kiwanis Club of Edmonton (Downtown) has offered to help 24 Parkallen Scouting Group with the Scouts Canada No Child Left Behind Program.  This helps families and youth in need to ensure that no one is left behind in Scouting.  Their commitment to 24 Parkallen will help us to continue to provide a fun, exciting and challenging programs that is affordable for all.

Kiwanis Club of Edmonton has been supporting our Scout Group since the beginning of 2011 by helping scout camps with the purchase of camp equipment (Castle Siege at Spring Thaw 2011).  With support form organizations like Kiwanis, scouts camps can remain affordable for all youth to attend.  

Kiwanis International is a Global Organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time.
