Swim Up 2014 (April 30th)

I would like to say thank you to all the youth, parents and volunteers for such a wonder scouting year. We will be meeting at Emily Murphy Park (11904 Emily Murphy Park Road NW) at the sheltered Picnic Site (on your left when you enter the park). We will be holding our Swim Up Ceremony and Volunteer Appreciation that evening. There will be plenty of food and fun for the whole family. The fun starts at 6:30 PM. Please come in full uniform and dress for the weather.

2014 Spring Bottle Drive

This April 26, 2014 the 24th Parkallend Scouting Group will be out in your neighbourhood for a Bottle Drive and Edmonton Food Bank Drive starting at 9:00 am.

Volunteers will be meeting at the Parkallen Community Hall Rink Shack (11104 - 65 Avenue) before 9:00 am.

Please leave your Food Bank Donations and Scout Bottle Donations on your front step by 9:00 am.

Most needed food items:

• Beans with/without Pork
• Canned Fish or Meat
• Macaromi & Cheese Dinners or Pasta
• Baby Food or Baby Formula
• Peanut Butter
• Powder Milk
• Soup
• Canned Fruits or Vegetables

All funds raised from the Bottle Drive go towards the 24th Parkallen Scout Group programs.

Winter Camp 2014 Mar 7th - 9th

Winter Camp 2014 at Camp Evansburg is just around the corner.  This camp is open for our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts sections and we will be will be staying at Camp Evansburg in Evansburg, Alberta from March 7th - 9th.

Activities at this camp are our Cub Car Racing Classic, Camp Fire, Winter outdoor skill development, hiking, tobogganing / tubing, cooking and games. 

Scout Group 2013 Year End Party (Dec 11)

All sections will have their last regular meeting for 2013 before we break for the holidays.  Regular meetings will begin again on January 8, 2014 at the Parkallen School.  We will be meeting at the Evangelical Fellowship Church (10511 - 79 Avenue) on December 11th starting at 6:30 PM.  We will be having an end of the 2013 year party, handing out badges, giving Cubs, Scouts and Venturers their "Kub Kar" kits to work on over the holiday break.

Group Committee Meeting Nov 19th

Our next Group Committee meeting will be on November 19, 2013 in the Southgate Food Court starting at 8 pm. This meeting is open to all parents who wish to attend. We are looking for parent volunteers to help out on this committee.
